It’s Time to Get Excited Again

Do you remember Christmas morning when you were a kid?

You couldn’t sleep a wink you were so excited.

Or maybe you got an A in a tough class or scored some points in a big game.

It’s hard not to get excited about those moments, right?

When you first got your driver’s license, you HAD to tell others about it.

Even now, if you think about those moments, a smile probably comes to your face.

It’s time to tap into some of that excitement and joy today.

Go ahead—get excited again!

This video shows the first time baby Jonathan heard his mother’s voice.

He’s pretty excited to hear mom for the first time!

What is something you are currently excited about? Please share in the comments!

I’ve been excited about growing my platform!

By the way, we have a few things in common. I’m from Ohio. I can relate to your ‘My Story’ post (I’ve had some issues with work). And I just recently discovered Jon Acuff in the last couple of weeks. Thanks for shring the post and personal video, Jim.

Your post was great, Jim… until I got to the video. I know too much about Deaf culture to really appreciate it. But, I will remember the exciting feeling from those other times you mentioned (and a few that have been stirred in my own thoughts) and seek to get that excited again!

Thanks Katie for the kind words! I don’t know anything about deaf culture myself, so I’m deeply sorry if it offended you.

No offense take, just plenty of thoughts stirred. I minored in American Sign Language which, of course, required courses in Deaf culture. A cochlear implant is very controversial in the Deaf community.
