We All Want The Same Thing

We all want to be inspired.

Sounds pretty simple doesn’t it? Michael Jordan, Joe Montana, Ernest Hemingway, Edgar Allan Poe, Jimi Hendrix, Bob Dylan, Mickey Mantle. What do they all have in common? They inspire people. Well, at least they inspired me.

Mediocrity, along with a sense of entitlement, are now considered core values to many.

I refuse to accept this.

I know we can do better.

Inspiration leads to action.

If you want my attention, inspire me.

If you want to sell something to me, inspire me.

If you want to lead me, inspire me.

    I agree with what Larry said, I’m inspired by action. It is funny that the written word inspires me (the story more so), but the verbal word does not.

    SMILE! Sometimes seeing someone else’s happiness inspires me to turn my frown upside down! I agree with Heidi too…These days, when someone actually follows through on their word, we are surprised and inspired to do the same.

    Unknown Jim inspires me.

    Job, Ruth, Peter, David, Moses, including Harriet Tubman (the moses of her people), Rahab the harlot, just to name a few thousands of years ago people, all the courageous memoir writers, those who have failed time and again and never give up, those who serve with a smile ETC.

    Oh, and last but not least, I inspire me. When I write…read…and share with others what I’ve overcome. When I help someone keep their dignity (senior or disabled) by allowing them to accomplish as much as they’re capable of doing. When I listen intently to understand a person struggling with the English language. When I encourage a young person, or a white-haired wrinkled one (like me), to go for their dreams. ETC.

    Positive people with passion inspire me. I’m not sure negative people have passion. I want to live with a passion that others see.
