Think about it.

Dread it.

Beat yourself up.

Dig inside.

Go even deeper.

Bleed all over.

Blood becomes ink.

Write it down.

Reread.

Edit.

Think.

Edit again.

Freak out.

Repeat all steps.

Repeat some of the steps again.

Share.

Freak out again.

Sometimes applause.

Sometimes jeers.

But mostly crickets.

What a fun poem…for me, sometimes even the crickets seem to be jeering. :-)

“Writing is easy. You just sit down at the typewriter, open a vein, and bleed it out drop by drop.” – Walter “Red” Smith
